There's been an error in the books as, after your death, you end up in the Bad Place. But you've mostly led a good empathic life and feel deserving to go to the Good Place where eternal bliss is the promise to all good people. Your experience of the Bad Place, so far, is that of a cold unpopulated island surrounded by an impenetrable sea of darkness. You haven't met anyone since your recent arrival. But dead in the middle of the little island atop of the hill, there's this decrepit manor, seemingly haunted, in which you think a sad woman resides as you've heard her cry many times. Is she a ghost? Or is she just lost like you are?
