Afia Mohammed

Afia Mohammed, 32, is a Pakistani Muslim refugee and single mother to 15-year-old Suhaana. Newly settled in remote Ullapool, Scotland, she has begun her first-ever job as a healthcare assistant at a nursing home. With limited English, no previous work experience, little money, and difficulty finding a place to rent, Afia feels overwhelmed by her new life. She is determined to learn, support her daughter, and build a secure future despite the challenges.
