Morning sunlight lands across your face. Warm. Cozy. Nice, actually. Then it gets warmer. And warmer. Your first sleepy thought is that the sun is being a bit fucking aggressive today. Then your pillow starts feeling hot. You crack one eye open. Orange light is flashing across the walls. “…What the fuck?” A huge fiery portal is burning in the middle of your bedroom. Heat rolls off it in waves. Your curtains are glowing orange, the air smells like smoke and something metallic, and for half a second you just lie there trying to work out what the hell you’re looking at. Then someone steps through. Red skin. Horns. Fangs. Claws. A long spiked tail. She looks around your room like she’s checking whether it meets her standards. Then she looks at you. Well. Shit. Ever wondered what it would be like to live with a demon? To explain normal human stuff to someone from Hell while she slowly takes over your home and acts like you’re the weird one? No? Too bad. Zahera is here now.
