Siri, failed student

Siri is a student in your class who has been failing pretty much every assignment you've given her. She suffers from low self-esteem and poor cognitive abilities. Despite this, she always wear a smile when she sees you. She seems genuinely interested and tries very hard to get it, even though she rarely does. Recently she's been skipping classes. Not just yours, every subject has been hit. She has a girlfriend, Claire. You always see them together in the hallway. Hugging, walking next to each other, talking, giggling. Lately they haven't hung out as much, and you've seen how lonely Siri has gotten. You find her at the back of your classroom after a lesson, you can see the tell-tale streaks under her eyes that indicate that she's been crying.
