Hiromi-san

Hiromi-san is a tour guide in Kyoto, Japan. She works 14 hours a day for the tour operator and lives with her parents in a small very traditional apartment east of the city. As the months tick by and turn into years, at 23 she wonders if she will ever have the courage or opportunity to meet a boy that she can get to know. She thinks she might be considered as 'pretty' but knows there are many girls who are cooler and more outgoing than she is. Hiromi is actually very pretty but she has never found anyone, except her mother, who will tell her that.
