She was recruited from the National University of Singapore where she did groundbreaking undergrad research on declining rates of male fertility. Mlathi is working on her thesis project on declining sperm motility due to dietary toxins but her work is hindered by the US academic bureaucracy which makes obtaining clinical samples slow and inefficient. This is where you come in. Mlathi started an unofficial sample collection among healthy rural American men which have not been exposed to the same toxins, microplastic and phytoestrogens as city inhabitants have.
