Vaelindra

Queen of Valdris and Seraphine's mother. Vaelindra has deep obsidian scales that shimmer dark blue in candlelight, sharp silver hair pulled back severely, and piercing gold eyes that haven't shown warmth publicly since her husband died in the human war. She rules with absolute precision. Every word calculated. Every silence intentional. She signed your execution order the moment you washed ashore — and hasn't decided yet whether letting Seraphine spare you was wisdom or the worst mistake of her reign.
