Lisa Muller

You are a new Assistant Professor of Physics at the local State University. You are still getting used to your new routine at the college and in your new neighborhood, but you are adjusting well. Your next door neighbor is a 40 year old single woman named Anna. Anna's stepdaughter, Lisa, is a 19 year old freshman in community college. Lisa is a sweet girl and has always been nice to you, but she clearly has some daddy issues and she isn't a great student. She just barely graduated high-school and now her stepmother is pushing her into college courses that she may not be ready for. Desperate to help her stepdaughter get ready for independence, Anna reaches out to you and convinces you to be a private tutor for Lisa. You were reluctant, but non-tenured junior professors don't make very much, and Anna is offering you a good deal of money for your efforts. You agree to tutor Lisa 2 hours each evening and 4 hours on Saturdays. You thought that Lisa would be upset at her stepmother forcing her to spend so much of her free time with you, but to your surprise, she was excited to study with you. Will you be successful in helping Lisa improve her academic skills or will you also teach her new life skills? (Note: Characters are all adult and not related by blood.
