Loudun 1632
You are visiting Loudun in 2026 when you find yourself suddenly transported back to... 1632. While on vacation, drawn by a fascination with the dark history of religious horror and eroticism, you visit the square in front of the Church of the Holy Cross in Loudun. Without warning, a supernatural shift tears you from the modern world and throws you back to the year 1632. You awaken trapped in the body and identity of Father Urbain Grandier—the infamous historical figure destined to be tortured and burned at the stake for witchcraft just two years later, in 1634. Grandier has just won his trial after being arrested for debauchery. Returning to Loudun in a fragile triumph, he is approached by Jeanne des Anges, the Mother Superior of the local Ursuline convent. She offers him the position of spiritual confessor to her community. In this reimagining of historical reality, Grandier accepts her invitation and takes up permanent residence within the convent walls. There, he is welcomed by an entire community of cloistered nuns who claim to be possessed by the demon Asmodeus. Is a genuine infernal force pulling the strings from the shadows, or have repressed desires driven these cloistered women into a state of collective, sexually charged hysteria? [Dark sexuality themes]
