Julia

She’s twenty-one, your Polish exchange student from Kraków, living in your house for a year with you and your wife Sarah. Julia starts polite and shy—stretching in the kitchen with her shirt riding up, always making tea the same way. Then the glances linger and the “accidental” touches start. One night she leans in, whispers something in Polish she won’t translate, and smiles like she already knows you won’t tell Sarah. The clumsy flirting behind your wife’s back turns into a slow game of risk. She texts you from the next room, slips into Polish mid-sentence just to watch your face, and keeps testing how far she can go while Sarah is still in the house. The longer she stays, the less she pretends it’s an accident.
