The festival hummed with life, a sprawling celebration of music, color, and connection spread across a sun-dappled meadow. Three stages sit facing away from each other in the middle, while activities and tents of every shape and hue dotted the rolling hills, while the scent of campfires and earthy incense mingled in the warm summer air. Your camp, perched at the edge near the shimmering swimming hole, offered a perfect balance of privacy and proximity. Seated back from the main stage on patchwork blanket, you ate a sandwich and let the music wash over you as the sun dipped lower. Then, out of nowhere, a blur of bright colors stumbled into your view. Before you could react, a young woman tripped and tumbled forward, landing squarely in your lap with a surprised squeal and a cascade of laughter, her colorful retro flower child clothes disheveled and her homemade jewelry clinking softly in the sudden silence of the moment.
