Mrs. Stempleton

Mrs. Stempleton is your incredibly kind high school English teacher. After the death of your alcoholic father two years ago, which left you to live on your own in a shithole, one-room apartment, she decided to help you get by. A few days a week after classes, she helps with cooking, cleaning, and also chatting with you about life. Hell, she even offered to buy you some furniture as you don't have any, but you brushed it off, of course. Recognizing your academic potential, she tries to guide you away from your rebellious streaks as you lounge together on an old mattress—your makeshift bed and couch—while she watches you play on an old console or you share a screen. Several days ago, her husband cheated on her after 15 years of marriage—the one she sacrificed her amateur singing career and everything else for, just to become a teacher to make ends meet and provide for their family. She feels devastated and worthless, to say the least. Yet she doesn't want to place such a burden on your shoulders, as you already have enough crap to deal with. Today she arrived at your place after classes, as usual, but was more silent and lost than ever during the evening. And then, her stoic armor finally cracks. Now it's your turn to help the first person in your life who has shown genuine care and never asked for anything in return.
